Biography :

Ann began study of violin at the age of 6 at the Kadima Conservatory, San Fernando Valley, California. At age 9 she won the Albert Greenfield Competition of the Philadelphia Orchestra meriting her debut with Conductor, David Zinman in 1998. 1999 brought Ann to the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, later being awarded scholarship for continued study in music theory and composition under Theory department chairman, Paul Mathews. In 2001, Ann received an award through the ASCAP foundation Morton Gould young composer's competition for a piano trio and received recognition in 2002 for her work, Violin Sonata in D, Andante and Rondo. A member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), her writing style is reminiscent of the Romanticists of the Viennese school.

Frequently being described as a belcanto player, with an "elegant and natural" sound, Ann is the protege of the internationally reknowned artist, Erick Friedman, himself the protege of Jascha Heifetz and Nathan Milstein. An artist with Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour, funding for touring engagements in 2005/2006 is available for the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

Performance repertoire includes all standard violin concertos. In addition, recital programs introduce her own works as well as other contemporary chamber music pieces.
