Biography :

Chiara Bertoglio was born in Turin in 1983, and began studying the piano in 1986. She studied with Maria Rezzo, Ilonka Deckers, Emmy Henz-Diémand, Paul Badura Skoda and Konstan-tin Bogino. She is currently attending master courses at the Ac-cademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Sergio Perticaroli. In 1999 she graduated at the Turin Conservatoir summa cum laude and with special distinction. In 2000 she obtained the diploma of the Science High School with 100/100. In 2001 she obtained the Swiss diploma for virtuosité with the same score. She took part in mas-terclasses with A. Lonquich, E. Henz-Diémand, K. Bogino, A. Cic-colini and P. Badura-Skoda. She won a scholarship from De Sono Music Association for the period 1996-2001.

As a soloist she gave recitals and concerts in Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. In 2002 she went on a very succesful tournée in Germany and Poland, that received a great attention fromthe media, among which the second channel of the public national Polish TV, the radio and several newspapers. She performed the complete series of Impromptus by Schubert, at the Turin Conservatoir, and all the Studies op. 10 by Chopin in Switzerland at the age of 14. She played in the greatest concert halls of Turin, such as the RAI (Radio/Tv) Auditorium, the Sermig, the Conservatoir Great Hall, and the Piccolo Regio, and for the Unione Musicale and Settembre Musica. She played with orchestra Mozart's Concerto K414 with Ferdinand Leitner, in Milan the second concerto by Beethoven, in Switzerland Mendelssohn's first Concerto, in Germany and Italy Ravel's Concérto en sol, with great success, and the First Concerto by Brahms.

She won the absolute first prize in the musical contests Muzio Clementi - Kawai (1991) and Franz Schubert (1992), as well as the 4th Contest for the best graduations of the year in Castro-caro (2000); the international selection with orchestra of the Schenk-Stiftung 2000, the selection of young musicians for con-certs abroad organized by the ARAM (2001), and twelve first prizes in her category in other contests. She recorded a number of cd's of solo and chamber music for the Biemme. She has per-formed in many TV programs, on Italian national channels and for Sat2000.


Performance :
Solo recitals, chamber music, concertos with
orchestra, TV, radio, CD production.
