Biography :

Fabio Armani is an Italian composer born in Rome in 1958. He has a degree in Astrophysics, and studied jazz piano and composition since 1974. He composes acoustic as well as electronic instrumental music (Computer Music), at the moment he is the artistic director of the ensembles Advena Avis, Tangram and Terre Differenti.

Fabio plays piano, keyboards, samplers and small hand percussion. He composes and arranges all the music for the three musical ensembles.

In 1999 he founded, with Giacomo De Caterini, the independent label Different Lands to produce and promote World Fusion music and artists. This label is specialized in electronic, jazz, world and contemporary classic music.

He is now distributing his own first acoustic piano recording, titled Nostalgie di futuro, as a composer and soloist performer. This CD, produced by Different Lands, is an experimental collection of piano compositions, based on different musical styles, ranging from jazz to classic to middle east.
